A Team Or B Team
NOTES FROM CINDY BROWN
Years ago, a wildly successful businessman said something to me that has stuck ever since.
He said: "There's always an A Team and a B Team. There's no place for a B Team in our world." At the time, I thought, "Wow. That's intense."
Now? I think he was onto something. A lot of us let the B Team run our lives. The B Team says, "It's fine, good enough, I'll do it tomorrow, maybe someday, It doesn't matter that much.”
The B Team is the version of you that signs up for the thing, and never opens it. The version that says she wants a different life but keeps choosing the familiar one. The version that knows exactly what she wants but waits until she's more confident, more prepared, more whatever.
Perfection isn't the goal. This isn't about hustling until you collapse or expecting yourself to get everything right. For me, A Team versus B Team comes down to intention and action.
Are you showing up for the life you say you want? Or are you half-assing it?
Are you making decisions based on what you actually want? Or are you living according to someone else's expectations?
Your life deserves your A Team. Your dreams deserve your A Team. Your relationships deserve your A Team. YOU deserve your A Team.
I'm not talking about being perfect. I’m talking about putting yourself in the game. To take the shot. To give it a 100 percent.
None of us are getting out of here alive. So stop saving your best effort for "someday." Play like your life depends on it. Because in many ways, it does.
